Former two-time middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has urged promotion boss Dana White not to fight UFC 293 in a one-sided title fight against former champion Sean Strickland.
Adesanya, who is currently in the middle of a skid who has lost three games, suffered a unilateral second-round knockout loss against bystander and competitor Nasoldin Imabov since returning to UFC Saudi Arabia in February.
Previously, Nigeria and Kiwi batting aces led to another halt loss as incumbent middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis scored a fourth round face crank submission victory in Australia.

However, according to Adesanya, if White had his way, he would have directed him to refuse the title defense against Strickland in UFC 293.
