About the difference between Rematch Merab dvalishvili

Merab Dvalishvili spoke to reporters after the open training session. He revealed something different to his rematch with Sean O’Malley (via Mmajunkie).

“He and his coach studied our fight,” Dvalishvili said. “They know my strongest way, my weaknesses. They have a long camp, I’m waiting and accepting the best version of Sean O’Malley. That’s my job to take this fight seriously. I’m ready for work so I shouldn’t look down at him.

The bantamweight champion also discussed recent toe injuries. Dvalishvili says that Pinky’s toes are “fat” but are no longer black and blue. He felt it wouldn’t be a problem on fight night and was surprised that the fans had done a big deal about it.

Furthermore, Dvalishvili expects a more competitive battle.

“I feel that’s definitely different because I was the challenger,” Dvalishvili said. “Now I’m the champion. This time he’s a challenger. I’m already beat him. At first it was difficult to motivate him to fight the same guy I controlled. Now he’s already trying to change his lifestyle. He’s already changing everything.
