Sam Rose was one of the riders who found Ducati’s next superbike on Misano’s track.
Ducati Test Rider Michele Pirro had a paced Panigale V4R in the WorldSBK Misano test earlier this week.
This is the machine that Ducati is intended to homologise to the 2026 World Superbike Championship.
“I saw a bit of pillow on my new bike,” Rose said.
“He looked good. I don’t really see much about how it was painted, but I’m looking forward to riding it at some point.”
Lowes said of his test:
“So this version of the bike is nearing the end of the development cycle.
“We were more focused on the sense of bikes and electronics.”

The ELF MARC VDS racing team will enter the Misano round from June 13-15, finishing their five race streaks within the top five.
He is expected to plague Alvaro Bautista, Danilo Petrucci and Andrea Locatelli for his podium at Misano.
He was also among the top five daily Misano tests earlier this week.
“It was a positive day. The team did a really good job,” Rose said.
“We tried a few things, but there is a good direction for the race weekend.
“We’re pretty strong in race tyres. We’re happy with the pace and lap times we have. We finally spent a bit of time with the SCQ tyres and took a small step, but at that point, 88 laps later, I was pretty tired.
“It was good to try it over the weekend, and now we definitely feel like we’re on the podium fight.
“It was a positive test for us. We know where we can improve. We need to analyze a little more.
