Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batting coach Dineshkartik praised RCB skipper Rajat Patidar as he qualified for the fourth IPL final. Patider was an influential skipper of the aspect of this season.

The RCB retained the Patider, but did not expect Patider to become the team’s new skipper. After the mega auction they chose the patider to lead the side as they didn’t have many options to choose from.

Patider didn’t disappoint the management and took his side to the IPL final in his first stint.

Dinesh Karthik by Rajat Patidar

Dinesh Karthik said that the biggest eye-opener for him in his life is Rajat Patidar. Dinesh Karthik believes that when people suddenly gain power, they tend to change, but the Patiders remain the same throughout the season.

“When people suddenly get a little praise and power, they tend to change. That’s normal. They see their patterns of behavior, their ways, something somewhere. Dinesh Karthik said.

Patidar won the role for his leadership skills on the national circuit as he led Madhya Pradesh to the final of the Saeed Mushtak Ali Trophy from 2024-25. The RCB had experience playing players for teams such as Virat Kohli, Krunal Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, but the RCB Management showed his faith in him and appointed Patider as the skipper.

RCB success under Rajat Patidar

RCB closed the league stage in his second position despite multiple injuries in camp. They only won one match at home, but RCB’s High had won all the away games at IPL 2025.

Patider was also injured in several matches and did not captain in several matches. Josh Hezlewood, Jacob Bethel and Devdot Padickal were removed from the tournament. RCB also lost Tim David and Phil Salt in several matches during the tournament due to injuries.

Rajat Patidar’s IPL 2025 performance

Rajat averaged 23.83 in 14 games and scored 286 runs, with a strike percentage of 142.29. Patider started the season very well, but he fell afterwards, showing shape in the final five games.

RCB is qualified for the fourth IPL 2025 Final, with Patider playing in the Big Finals, helping his side lift his first IPL title.
