Jorge Martin did not provide any further comment on his Aprilia future at the maker’s All-Star event this weekend at Misano, but gave him a clearer timeline for his return to the MotoGP machine.

The incumbent world champion, who has been on the sidelines since his latest injury at the Qatar Grand Prix, remains in a contractual stalemate with Aprilia regarding the performance-related “exit” for the 2026 season.

“We’re (each of them) saying what we have to say. The situation somehow resolves itself,” Martin said. Sky Italia.

The Spaniard previously said, “I have decided to exercise my right to release myself for the 2026 season.”

“I am always asked to talk to you all the time after returning to the competition and then extend this period to a certain number of Grand Prix.

“The goal is to allow the parties to give each other a second chance and feel comfortable before making a decision in 2026.”

Martin returns to two wheels at Misano and rides his first outing since the crash in Qatar.

His RS-GP comeback is expected to be included in the private tests currently permitted under the revised MOTOGP regulations.

“It’s a complicated moment, but little by little, I see the light,” Martin explained about his recovery. “Before summer, I do the test. But I only go back to the race at 100%.”

MotoGP summer vacation will begin after the Brno round on July 20th.

Aprilia won her first season with Martin’s teammate Marco Betzecki at Silverstone last time.
