Lu Dort issued a warning to the NBA about the “comfortable” OKC Thunder star, he hasn’t played the game yet

Oklahoma City Thunder Forward Lugenzdort believes his team will add another incredible player next season.

It was decided that the Oklahoma City Thunder will face the Indiana Pacers in the final of the 2025 conference and will have the opportunity to lift the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

Neither franchise has won an NBA title, but it’s the perfect David vs. Goriaart story as the Pacers are a massive underdog to win it all.

After all, the Thunder was head and shoulders on the competition during the regular season, and home to a phenomenal roster. Well, that roster looks like it will improve for the 2025-26 season with the addition of Nicola Topic.

Now, Shy Gilgaus Alexander is definitely the best player in lightning. But elite support players like Jalen Williams, Alex Caruso and Luguentz Dort are what make OKC a truly dominant team.

The 2025 NBA Finals are round the corner, but star forward Rudort recently decided to issue a warning to the league about the topic.

“He’s doing a lot of his recovery stuff, but you can see how talent and how comfortable he is with the ball,” Dort said via X’s Clemente Armanda.

He added: “He started playing with us and became a little more active with us. He’s still coming back from his injuries, but we can see how comfortable he is with the ball and the type of player he is going to be.”

Topic has yet to play a single game in his NBA career, but the way Dort hyped him is something that should cool down the spines of other parts of the league.

Thunder drafted the topic using the 12th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. As a 6’6 point guard, many had high expectations from the age of 19 in his rookie year.

Unfortunately, the topic was sidelined for the entire 2024-25 NBA season after suffering a torn ACL injury in May 2024.

Currently, ripping the ACL is seriously injured, but given that the topic isn’t even 20 years ago, it could potentially he recover from it well.

Either way, OKC fans will be excited to see how the topic fits into the current roster after Dort’s important warning for the rest of the NBA.
