Karl-Anthony Towns has received a lot of criticism from Knicks fans following the loss in Game 6. Austin Rivers is not happy about it.
The New York Knicks were unable to get the job done against the Indiana Pacers. After the first Eastern Conference Finals in 25 years, the team failed to achieve their goals.
Jalen Brunson has been praised for his incredible performance in the playoffs. Josh Hart was critical of his performance in Game 6, but the New York loyalists still love him.
One player has received a lot of criticism, Karl Anthony Towns. There have been reports that the Knicks are irritated by the town’s behavior throughout the season.
There was also a trade proposal involving KAT after the playoff exit. However, some people think this may be premature.
Either way, the addition of town was positive for New York. And Austin Rivers recently tore people who suggest he should be traded.
“I’m frustrated and angry to hear that,” Rivers said. “This guy is one of the best big names in the NBA. The town of Karl Anthony had many dominant performances during the New York Knicks postseason.
“To go all the way to the conference finals. See how excited the city is. Look at the new fans. See the heat spreading across the country, not just New York, but the team at the Big Apple, the biggest city in our country, has been successful.
“And this guy is their main character, he and Jalen (Brunson), and the reason you can attribute this success.
“And as soon as you lose, you go to the internet, go to everyone and start talking badly about one of the best players on the team that was stepping into game 5 or 6, not just the league, but also the team.
“After dominating the way he did in Game 5 to force Game 6, he loses Game 6 and becomes like “I need to replace the curls.” This is the most paranoid idea I’ve heard.
“How bad are you? You finally got a really good team. You made a deal to get your Carl. You were all hyped all year round as this guy was crushed.
“You guys come across a team that’s deeper and now plays really good basketball. Sometimes you just lose. This is sometimes a toxic aspect of that big market.”
There are some truths to what the river claimed. Declaring Cat as a consumable after the season he had in his first year with New York is a bit wild.
The Towns averaged 24.4 points in the regular season, the highest in four years. 12.8 rebounds per game were a great career for the big man.
Despite some volatile performances in the playoffs, there were also big ones in town. His 35 points in Game 1 of the Conference Finals was unfortunately overshadowed by the Pacers’ big comeback.
The team is about to make a big move this season. And while the town is a valuable asset to move on, the Knicks probably need to keep him instead.
