Newcastle United attempts to sign Man Cityman after Brian Mbuemo’s rejection

Newcastle United was rejected by Brentford attacker Brian Mbuemo.

The attacker, who scored 20 goals in the Premier League last season, expressed his desire to move to Manchester United this summer, rejecting Newcastle, Arsenal and Tottenham in the process.

Magpies may have to shift their transfer strategy as Cameroonian international attackers support the move towards Old Trafford.

Newcastle United has been warned about the availability of promising 22-year-old Manchester City midfielder James McAtee, according to the Chronicle.

James McAtee to Newcastle United?

Despite Pep Guardiola’s praises for Mcatee, the rich talent in the city’s midfield limited his opportunity and urged the club to consider the offers of the young British.

McAtee, a product of Man City’s respected academy, showed off his abilities in the Lone spell, especially at Sheffield United.

Newcastle’s interest in McAtee comes from a strategy of investing in young, high potential players to build a team that can compete at the highest level.

However, Magpies currently have a rich midfield, featuring Bruno Guimares, Sandro Tonari and Jollington.

This depth means that unless they leave, McAtee could face tough competition due to their regular playing time at St. James Park.

Potential exits for midfielders Joe Wilk and Sean Longstaff could create openings for new additions.

Valued at around £20 million, McAtee represents a major investment, but could potentially provide long-term benefits considering age and potential.

His ability to work both in the center and sides adds tactical flexibility, an attribute that Newcastle manager Eddie Howe adds to his value.

As far as outgoing goes, Magpies could allow Anthony Gordon to leave the club this summer.

Former Chelsea attacker Tammy Abraham is another player on the club’s radar this summer.
