Derrick Lewis admits cheating in previous UFC fights ahead of the Nashville Return: “All measures are needed”

Former interim and uncontroversial heavyweight title challenger Derrick Lewis admitted that he was not worried about cheating rules and cheating in his fight, even looking back at the intentional gro caliber strike in a previous pairing before the UFC Nashville Headliner in July.

Lewis, a perennial candidate for the Octagon heavyweight limty, is set to return to action next month in Tennessee, and will lead the promotional return to Nashville, where he challenges the emerging split vision, Tarison Teisheyla.

Lewis took another impressive knockout victory over Rodrigo Nascimento last May, and then filmed the lost skid after being defeated by another Brazilian enemy, Mileton Almeida.

And before he returns to his actions, Lewis reflected on his battle with Dutch veteran Luan Potts in a recent interview with MMA Junkie.

Ultimately, Lewis, who won his second knockout victory in the 2015 showdown in Los Angeles, admitted that he quickly chose to land a deliberate gro caliber strike during the opening phase of the pairing to settle his own nerves.

“I fooled me in the fight, sh*t,” Derrick Lewis said. “Once I put him to my knees on the nuts. I put him to my knees off the bat to the nuts. As soon as the fight began, I purposely put him to my knees on the nuts.

“Yeah, I’m a cheat, sh*t,” continued Derrick Lewis. “The necessary means. If you want to start poking your eyes, I’ll stick you.”

And as far as veterans are concerned, booting leaves him in the mind that there is absolutely no punishment for misconduct – intentional or not, he must exploit this fact.

“You get a warning. They’re not going to take the point right away as you thrust someone in your eyes,” added Derrick Lewis. sh*t, everyone knows that. I’m going to make him kneel on the nuts and hit him in the eyes. I’m going to do something illegal and say, “Oh, my fault, I wasn’t going to do that.” This is record-breaking, isn’t it? If I do that in any of my previous fights, I’m laughing inside. ”
