Belmont Stakes Day in Saratoga is here and the program is packed with high stakes races on one of the most fun and resultant race cards of the year. The event in the headline is the Belmont Stakes presented by the NYRA BETS and the $1 million Hill ‘n’ Dale Metropolitan Handicaps, and for my choice in those races, you can watch the ABR staff member Belmont Stakes Trifecta article and the 2025 Met Mile for ABR. In this column, we will focus on some of the other most interesting betting races in Saratoga’s luggage. There you may be able to find solid winners, Exactas, Trifectas. Earn cash earlier in the day and you can build enough bankrolls to place a big bet on Belmont stakes. Enjoy a fantastic Belmont Stakes day of racing and betting at Saratoga and the Best of Lucky!

Saratoga Race Course, Race 9, $500,000 Jaipur Stakes, Post Time 4:08 PM ET

Grade 1 Jaipur Stakes draws a field of 10 turf sprinters dashing 5½ furlongs for a $500,000 wallet, with no shortage of candidates in the race. My favorite is #2 I think it’s bigThe Turf Sprinter ranks weathered this spring by offering Accenture in Keeneland’s Grade 2 Valboline Global Shakate Town Stakes and Churchill Downs Grade 2 Twin Spiral Print to raise it to 4-4 in the Turf Sprint. There’s no knock on him except that his 6-5 morning line odds are too low and no bets can bet on winning such a controversial race. The horses to bet to win in Jaipur #9 AG BulletChurchill’s Grade 3 unlimited Sydney stake, defeated midway by Sigoom presented for Philly and the filly, where she was loaded but absolutely buried for a cruelly bad trip. The spot is not an easy task for a mare facing boys, but she has opposed the opposite sex in the past until she settled into the neck with the Breeders’ Cup grass sprint last fall. That race was five furlongs and she was flying in the finish and won if she was at 5½ furlong distance of this race. Anyway, she probably returned home in Sydney with unlimited layoffs from a 5 month season layoff and needed the last race, so if given a decent trip, she could be ready to roll on her second outing. Another major candidate for the field is #10 Coppolathe 10 winners take away the speed of the race from the outside, a solid tactical advantage in the Spaturf Sprint. Coppola loses to think big in the race with more contests for the early lead, but in this place it should get to the front fairly easily, and at least it’s dangerous enough to use with Exactas and Trifectas.

Theatre: I’ll bet #9 AG Bullet (7-2) Win and play her with an accurate box and triple box #2 Think Big (6-5) and #10 Coppola (12-1).

Saratoga Race Course, Race 11, Woody Stevens stakes for $500,000 announced by Mohegansan, post time 5:28 PM ET

The Grade 1 Woody Stevens stakes assembled a field of 10 three-year-olds set to race seven furlongs (#7Common words It was retracted)). While some may view this field as a comfort award for horses who raced on the Triple Crown Trail and failed to influence the series, it is actually a race depicting a high-quality horse field that will help them decide whether their futures will go longer or race mid-range. This fascinating lineup leads #5 Citizen BullLast year’s champion 2-year-old Funday El Breeders Cup boy was presented by the TAA winner who saw him rush through his bandwagon this year with losses in the 1/8-mile Kentucky Derby presented by the 1/8-mile Santa Anita Derby and Woodford Reserve. But while not embarrassing to shorten in such a race, it is probably this reduction in distance to seven furlongs that the doctor ordered for this obviously talented Bob Baffert trainee. In this race, other famous horses that could actually benefit from far-reaching reductions are #10 Chance McPatrickfollowed by a sixth place finish in the Grade 1 Toyota Bluegrass Stakes, and did not stick to the Triple Crown Trail. When Chansarmakpatrick focused on shorter distances than last year, he excelled in a Middle Distance Grade 1 victory in the Champagne Stakes. Here at Saratoga, he excelled with two wins, including a 6-Furlong Maiden victory and a Grade 1 hopeful stakes victory. He would have been best prepared at this place or not been directed here for trainer Chad Brown. There are many up-and-coming people who can wear hats in this race too, #11 Gate to Wire Trained by Todd Pletcher could prove to be the best of all of them. Wire and Gate won the Swale Stakes at Gulfstream Park at this 7-farlong distance. #4 Macho Musiche flattered him last month by winning the Grade 2 Putt Day Mile Stakes presented by SAP.
