The veteran striker could certainly be an attractive option for many clubs in the Premier League and elsewhere, but his future remains unresolved.

Reports say that Celtic and the Rangers have both seen Vardy this summer, but they claim that La Liga Giants Valencia is even tied to the 38-year-old.

But Bookie now has Manchester United as a surprising favourite to make Vardy’s next club.

It remains to be seen how much there is in this particular forwarding news, but the bookmakers’ market can be a useful indicator of what’s going on.

Man Utd needs a new striker this summer, but will they really put Vardy’s deal at his age?

Considering Vardy is free, it may not be the worst idea. It’s also probably a short-term option, and will probably come in as a cover for another striker.

The former England International looks good enough to make an impact at the highest level and could be great in the dressing room for younger players to learn.
