Draymond Green says he slipped a “finish line” trade that Warriors owners confuse with Luka Donsic’s deal.

Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green shares a story of how he found out about the Lukadon Chic trade, and he thought it was completely different.

Luka Doncic’s trade was a seismic event from the NBA perspective, and shook the NBA world. Even the man who broke the news, Shams Charania admitted that his hands were shaking when he was sent.

Donsick’s trade sent the Slovenians from the Dallas Mavericks to the La Lakers, capturing the interest of players across the league and proved that everyone could trade.

The Golden State Warriors decided to trade Jimmy Butler a few days later, but it was almost another player who ended up in the Bay.

The February trade deadline was one of the most dramatic in recent memory. One player added to the confusion without moving, Kevin Durant.

The Phoenix Suns were running around trying to get Butler, so they wanted to move Bradley Beal. However, his “no trade clause” and his desire to stay meant that they explored a contract to trade Kevin Durant for his previous team, the Warriors.

Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel, Warriors star Draymond Greene broke how close it was.

Green says Warriors owner Joe Lacob told him that it was pretty much agreed. He says it caused confusion when news about the Luka Donsic trade broke.

He explained: “We were at the Warriors charity poker tournament. We saw Joe La Cobb 10 minutes before this happened, and Joe was excited.

“And Joe said, ‘Draymond, I think we’ll get Kevin Durant. It’s on the finish line. It’s going on. Kevin Durant is back.

“I, oh, oh, oh.

“He’s off. He’s coming back to me. Two minutes later, Draymond, Draymond, I’m not going to say anything. Don’t say anything to anyone.

“Joe, I’ve got you. I wouldn’t say anything.”

Green explained that Don Chic’s trade destruction simultaneously led him to believe that Durant’s trade had been made and made public.

“So we’re in this tournament. And I’m going to sit down. And after about 15 minutes, Steph screams Draymond, do you see the deal?

“I went, did it happen? Steph goes, wait, oh, I said, oh, don’t care, no one else. What happened?

A few weeks after the trade deadline in early March, it was reported that the Warriors had fully agreed to Kevin Durant’s terms of trade.

However, the move didn’t work as Kevin Durant refused to play for the warrior again.

After that, joining Green on a podcast, Durant explained that this was simply because he didn’t want the turbulent tragedy of leaving the midseason.

The Warriors moved to Jimmy Butler and expanded the season to the Western Conference semi-finals.

But that is also likely to prevent them from making the move for Kevin Durant this summer.

Durant is expected to leave the sun. Brian Windhorst claims that two-time champions will leave at 98%, but his destination remains uncertain.

We’ve looked at the three teams currently linked, and while there may be more people interested in Durant Services, the Suns are trying to hold back some of their assets.
