Transaction Completion: Chelsea confirms star’s signature to become “top player” in time for the Club World Cup

Chelsea confirmed the signature of Strasbourg talented young centre-back Mama de Sarle, according to their official website.

Bruce announced that SARR will join them on an eight-year deal and could keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2033.

Only 19 years old Sarr appears to be a big prospect for the future after playing regularly for Ligue 1 at Strasbourg last season.

Sarle, a French under-19 international who is also eligible to play for Senegal, has completed his transition to Chelsea to represent Enzo Maresca’s side at the Club World Cup this summer.

SARR is not yet the biggest name of football worldwide, but after recent rapid developments in the game, he has been highly praised.

Sarr has the lens and Lyon spells at the youth level and moved to Strasbourg last summer, making a total of 28 appearances for the club.

His manager, Liam Rosenia, told the Chelsea official website, “I could talk about him for hours. His nickname is Mamad Rosenia, and he is my son.

“It’s scary to have such a calm and performance in the face of such a strong team. He’s just humble and calm and will certainly be a top player.”

Chelsea’s defensive options for 2025/26

Chelsea now has deep options in their books. SARR competes for a central defense location with celebrities such as Levi Colwill, Wesley Fofana and Tosin Adarabioyo.

The West London Giants often show that they give younger players the opportunity to develop under this ownership.

Their transfer strategy reflects the signing of them at a young age, when they had not had much experience, along with regulars from other first teams such as Moises Caiceceo, Cole Palmer and Malo Gusto.
