She is one of the best female fighters and athletes of her generation, and perhaps the best ever. Now she has a strong eye for her superfight with Amanda Nunez. It’s pretty exciting, but Harrison still needs to try and lose another weight to the bantamweight, which he knows is taking a serious blow to her body.
In an interview after her victory, Harrison revealed what she has to do to hit the scale.
Harrison explains the UFC 316 regimen
“Many people talk about it, but many don’t. I haven’t missed a day of running, walking, swimming or cycling every day for the past 12 weeks,” Harrison shared.
“And I’m going to do eight miles on Sundays. For the past 12-15 weeks, I’ve been on a diet. I only eat food in the fridge from the chief and nutritionist. And when I feel like I’m going to die or die from the sugar, I eat a scoop of peanut butter.
“I’ve gone through a few things, and the person I’ve become like that, my spirit will not break. My faith is unshakable and I’m really proud of it. That’s what this belt represents.”
