Five weeks after becoming the winner of owner trainer Ferissadan’s first career stakes, Kentucky Outlaw Consider backing up that performance on Saturday against seven other 3-year-olds Pegasus Stakesone of five stakes races with Haskell Preview Day Card in Monmouth Park.
Kentucky Outlaw was an impressive winner of the Long Branch Stakes, held in Monmouth Park on May 10th.
The 12-race Haskell Preview Day program will be revised with the first race post time of the 12:30pm EDT.
Listed with a $150,000 wallet, the 44th edition of the Pegasus Stakes is a local prep for the July 19th Grade 1 Haskell Stakes. The top two finishers of the 1/16-mile Pegasus Stakes will receive a free admission fee and will begin fees to the Haskell Stakes.
The Barbadian runner, who won the Off the Turf Jersey Derby at Monmouth Park on May 31, is about to add his fourth stakes victory at Pegasus this year. He also won miraculous wood stakes and epic bid stakes at Laurel over the winter.
The lightly raced Galamond, trained by Chad Brown, finished third in the Gotham Stakes (G3). The Bracket Buster, trained by Vicki Oliver, finished second in the Lexington Stakes (G3) at Keeneland on April 12th.
