Liverpool and Leverkusen reach a verbal agreement over Florian Wurtz’s transfer

According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool and Bayer Levalksen have, in principle, reached an agreement over the relocation of Florian Wiltz. The Premier League champion will pay up to 150 million euros (including add-ons) for the German International Services service, who is currently planning to receive medical care before signing a contract with his new club.

Manchester City and Bayern Munich were also interested in Wirtz, but the 22-year-old offensive midfielder told him his mind was set in Liverpool after a series of conversations with Liverpool head coach Arne Slot.

However, Leverkusen asked for a large fee and was not too willing to shake up, so it took quite a while to get to this point.

Wirtz, one of the heroes to Leverkusen’s undefeated Bundesliga titles in 2023/24, made a total of 197 appearances for Die Werkself in all competitions, scoring 57 goals and contributing to 65 assists.
