Mike Perry explains what it’s like to sparturn with former UFC champion Sean Strickland

Perry landed some good shots at Strickland in the sparring session. However, he admits that he struggled with the size of his training partner, not the top shape. He also admits that the altitude in Las Vegas was an issue.

“I showed up, I went, I did some warm-ups. I did a round with someone else, and I did a round with Sean. “He has at least 35 pounds on me. It’s good to see his style and how he feels punching.

“Shaun was very protective, and I was very tired just blocking a lot of the punches or taking a few things on my forehead. When there’s an altitude in Las Vegas, that’s not something I prepared for.

Oddly, Mike Perry and Sean Strickland gained considerable hatred after footage of the sparring session appeared.

Perry, who is not a stranger to criticism, makes it rough.

“Obviously, he’ll probably work with you, because most people don’t want to go to Sean Strickland for five minutes. If so, we’ll see what happens to him,” Perry said. “The punches that I had to take just to roll off my shoulder have dropped a lot of people talking about the comments, but I wanted to give you entertainment and show you.

“Imagine having a cardio that I go with him to a three-minute round, that pressure to block those punches with your forehead. I get you so tired, you don’t care who you are.

“So don’t hate me. I’m elevated here. I’m lifting people up.”
