Rose Namajunas is well aware that many UFC fans are skeptical of running in the flyweight division.

Namajuna is a legend of female MMA. Most of her professional career occurred in the UFC. In the Octagon, she was a two-time Strawweight champion, beating Zhang Weili (two), Joanna Jedrzejczyk (two) and Jessica Andrade. She may be the best fighter in the history of the straw weight division.
However, after losing the strawweight belt to Carla Esparza in a completely terrifying battle in 2022, Namajunas decided to move to the flyweight division.
It’s safe to say she’s not as successful in flyweight as she does in strawweight. She’s 2-2 after switching splits.
In her first fight in the new weight class, she lost her decision to Manon Philot. She then documented her back-to-back decisions over Amandari Bas and Tracy Cortez. She then suffered another decision loss to Erin Branchfield. That was her final battle.
It’s fair to say she didn’t look like the fighter who knocked out Zhang and Jedrzejczyk on Strawweight.
Fans informed her.
Namajunas will have the opportunity to calm her doubts this Saturday at the UFC Atlanta co-main event.
Rose Namajunas deals with suspicious people before UFC Atlanta
Namajunas is scheduled to meet Miranda Maverick at the co-headliner on Saturday. Prior to the fight, she took advantage of the opportunity to speak to fans who didn’t like her move to flyweight.
Apparently, she feels much better than she thinks she can see. And to be honest, it’s all a problem.
“It feels good,” Namajunas told ufc.com. “Obviously, I know a lot of people and critics will be like, ‘Oh, she’s not the same in flyweight like Strawweight’. The results were not exactly the same.
“I’m just somewhere else in my life, and (fighters) have experienced mental battles and struggles with me (murging me through those challenges),” Namajunas concluded. “So, as much as people are fighting, caring about outcomes, etc., I do, but I outweigh any mental strength I have in my life. I know it sounds crazy and cliché, and I feel really good.
