Mark VDS became one of the first teams to launch the 2025 racing program at the Belgian event that Jake Dixon first unveiled in the team’s famous burgundy colours.

Dixon will switch to a Belgian team this year and will partner with Czech rider Philip Salak, who will compete for the second season of Mark VDS in 2025 to replace Tony Alborino.

The three-time Moto2 world champion, Marc VDS, has no title since Alex Marquez won in 2019. The aforementioned Alborono has not won the Grand Prix since winning the Australian Grand Prix in 2023.

The Belgian team also announced Sam Rose for their second World Spool season. The British rider was based on the debut season of the Production Derivatives series, which showed a promised flash, but was ultimately derailed by an injury.

Expanding endurance

In addition to the WorldSBK and Moto2 teams, Marc VDS has announced that they will participate in the Endurance World Championships in 2025 in collaboration with their compatriot KM99 team, which finished second in the 2024 Bol D’Or.

The team will run the Yamaha R1 with Jeremy Guanoni, Randy de Puniette and Vimota World Test Rider Florian Marino as full-time riders, while Alessandro Delbianco as fourth rider.

The EWC season begins April 18-20 with 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans.
