The New York Knicks are looking for options as they are looking to hire a new head coach.
The big decision to fire Tom Thibodeau has put the New York Knicks front office in the spotlight.
Knicks fans are worried about pursuing a head coach who is already at work, but analysts have accused the strategy of being “silly.”
The Knicks radar has two prominent names on the Knicks radar, who lost his job this season.
The duo are former Sacramento Kings head coach Mike Brown and former Memphis Grizzlies leader Taylor Jenkins.
Mike Brown was a former NBA Coach of the Year, and ran down the road in late 2024 with the Sacramento Kings.
One hurdle he doesn’t need to overcome is that he has to beat the Knicks star player Jalen Brunson.
Branson made his feelings about Mike Brown very clear in March 2024. He praised the coach’s impact on the Sacramento Kings.
Branson was quoted from NBA.com.
“They present a lot of issues on that side of the ball,” he added, referring to the tough defense he had to face.
Looking at the potential partnerships elsewhere, Mike Brown has high praise for Jalen Brunson.
Following last year’s Kingsknick matchup, he commented:
“Jaylen shot 50% from over three people off the field despite sending double teams every time he came out of a pick-and-roll in the second half.”
At the moment, Mike Brown is a candidate for several Knicks. But if he can get front office approval, he will certainly be excited to start working with Branson.
