Rose Nama Junus makes a bold choice for the best female fighter in the UFC. Amanda Nunes has been excluded

Amanda Nunes may be the indisputable goat of female MMA in many people’s eyes, but Rose Namajna doesn’t necessarily see it that way.

“Thug” returns to the UFC Atlanta Octagon due to a high-stakes collision with Miranda Maverick. After being shortened on his final outing with Erin Branfield, Namajunas believes his victory in “Hot Lanta” could be a ticket to return to his flyweight title competition.

Namajunas is one of the greatest female fighters the sport has ever seen, despite getting 2-3 in the final five. She carved her name in a history book a few years ago, and became the first woman to defeat Zhang Weili to regain the world title in UFC history.

But when it comes to the greatest thing ever, the “thugs” think there is only one woman sitting on the throne.

“Valentina (Shevchenko) looked amazing (at UFC 315),” Namajunas told MMA Junkie. “She showed me why she was the biggest.”

“Bullet” left Manon Fiorot, who became brutal last month, securing the first successful defense of her second flyweight title reign.

Namajunas admits that Nunes is probably a true goat and not her favorite

Of course, Namajunas could not brooch the subject without mentioning the previous champion champion.

“Obviously, I know that Amanda Nunes has that title, but my personal opinion (Shevchenko is my favorite),” Namajnas added. “I look forward to the next thing for her.”

Shevchenko is undoubtedly the best active female UFC fighter, but she settled into flyweight and lost twice against Nunes before carving out her legacy.

The Liones’ is expected to return to the Octagon later this year due to a highly anticipated showdown with the newly-built Bantamweight Champion Kayla Harrison. The two-time Olympic gold medalist submitted Julian Na Pena to win her first UFC title and set the stage for her long-awaited scrap with her former teammate.
