The Rangers continue to approach their first arrival in the summer, but now seven clubs are reportedly fighting it to deal with Russell Martin.

Recent reports show the Rangers are set to sign Dundee’s Josh Mulligan in a currently imminent deal. The young right midfielder is in medical care and appears to be destined to be the first signature of both the 49ers and Martin era.

Mulligan may begin this summer as new owners try to close the gap between the old company rival and the Scottish Premiership champion Celtic. The Gars desperately need a fresh face, even after the Scottish sense and recent transfer rumors bring a lot of hope in that respect.

Mulligan aside, Ranger is tied to the moves of Flynn Downs, who worked with Southampton’s Martin and veteran defender Connor Cody. Both players will be great additions. That’s undoubtedly a question, but whether GERS can lure them into Ibrox will be a big question this summer.
That’s not all the 49ers have to worry about. Following another disappointing season, the Rangers could still lose some key men, which could include groundbreaking talent this summer.
Seven clubs are currently chasing the Igamane deal
According to Foot Mercato, seven teams are chasing a deal signing to Hamza Igamane this summer, as broadcast by Sport Witness. The 22-year-old forward, who is said to be a talent for “breakthrough,” enjoyed an outstanding debut season with the Rangers and is currently attracting interest from West Ham United, Brentford, Everton, Lens, RC Strasbourg, Lille and Studrennice.
Of these stakeholders, Lens reportedly went a step further by getting in touch over potential deals to exacerbate the Ranger problem.
To say he is someone in demand is an understatement, giving Gel a difficult fight when he tries to protect Starman. While interest in Igaman should not be shocked, many at Ibrox would not have expected to enjoy such a clinical debut season in front of the goal.
However, after scoring 16 goals in Moroko’s debut season, Igamane has become an unexpected star the Rangers should be desperate to protect his summer.
As Scout Jacek Kulig explained, the “hero” of Rangers over the course of a year, losing Igamane is a frustrating way for Martin and the 49ers to begin a new era.
