Kevin Durant’s trade rumours continue to heat up with potential moves towards the Miami Heat and the Minnesota Timberwolves. given by Stephen A. Smith His opinion on potential Durant landing spots.

Kevin Durant is still making headlines while the NBA Finals continue. Durant’s trade is a natural conclusion for the 2025 offseason, but his landing point is unknown.

The three teams are potential landing sites for the Miami Heat, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Houston Rocket. The rocket is a promising place, but most people’s attention is in the heat and the Timberwolves.

ESPN flagship Stephen A. Smith gave his views on potential deals. He feels the heat and the Timberwolves will benefit most if they get Durant. It’s a loaded heat team and a star-studded pairing with Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards.

The heat is still upset from the Jimmy Butler Saga. He is now with the Golden State Warriors after months of conflict with the hot front office. It was a tough moment as Butler was the best player in two NBA final runs.

They are on the frontier after the deal, but they still have promising players. Heat has all-star-level players from Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro who understand their situation. This team can compete for the championship if they have a star.

Because he’s a superstar who fits the bill. If the heat can separate the trade, they could become one of the best Eastern Conference teams in one night. Smith believes it will be a big move for Miami.

“The team that desperately needs him is the Miami Heat. They really don’t have anything. They don’t have stars, they need someone who is the number one choice on the offensive side of the ball,” Smith told the sports center.

“That’s Kevin Durant. The exceptional coaching of Bum Adebayo, Tyler Hero and Eric Spuerstra. They have a lot of work, but they don’t have a genuine guy that you can rely on night and night standards.”

Trade with Miami is not the only appetite stimulating. Having Durant and Edwards on the same team would be great because of their firepower.

The Timberwolves needed a co-star alongside Edwards in the Western Conference Finals series with the Oklahoma City Thunder. If Edwards had a teammate in Durant’s caliber, they would have had a chance to win.

Smith thinks this will be one of the best duos in the NBA. Edwards and Durant form a scary pairing, so he’s right in that rating.

“It automatically raises the height of the championship, the Minnesota Timberwolves. You give Edwards Kevin Durant and see hell,” Smith told the Sports Center.

“It’s another dimension that comes down to your path with these two. You have to hold the pieces you have.”

“I’m sorry, assuming there are some key components and there are KD and Aliman, but that’s a championship caliber duo.”

Wherever Durant is, he becomes a needle mover. This is the same as it proves he is a game-changing player wherever he goes. But Miami and Minnesota will look better if they join either.
