Liverpool has been linked to the moves of Paris Saint-Germain attacker Bradley Barcola in recent weeks.

The 22-year-old is an outstanding player for PSG and helped them in the league title and the UEFA Champions League last season. The player scored 21 goals in all competitions last season and scored 19 assists, proving to be an exceptional acquisition for Liverpool in the long run.

Rome rumored about Barcola

But Fabrizio Romano has now made it clear that there will be nothing concrete from the end of Liverpool, and PSG is counting on players next season. The rumors are exactly that, and it seems unlikely that the move will come true this summer.

Romano revealed on GMS: “There’s nothing imminent or concrete for Barcola yet. From what I’ve heard, PSG is counting on him next season.”

It’s no secret that Liverpool needs a quality wide player. Barcola is excellent for them. He would have added pace, flares and goals to the sides. However, PSG has a formidable team, and they are fighting for major trophies. They wouldn’t want to lose elite talent like him anytime soon.

He is also unlikely to become a cheap acquisition. Liverpool has already spent a premium on Florian Wirtz, and could be priced from the French attackers’ moves, even if he was made available.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool has decided to introduce quality wide players during the summer transfer period. They should ideally also invest in reliable strikers. They were overly dependent on Mohamed Sarah last season, so he needs more support in the offense.

Barcola is said to be a young player with “big personality” by PSG manager Luis Enrique. He has all the tools to develop into a future star. PSG tries to keep him at the club and groom him over the next few seasons.
