Dustin Poilier Retire: Dana White is rated higher than UFC 318

2 Min Read

UFC president Dana White received high praise from Dustin Poilier as he heads into his retirement battle at UFC 318 with Max Holloway.

In the next battle, Dustin Poirier eventually takes a walk into the octagon. He clashes with Max Holloway and is expected to be a truly enjoyable, entertaining encounter between the two greats. Of course, many fans are pissed off by the idea that “Diamond” will never fight again after this next outing.

The air is extremely exciting, especially considering Dustin Poillier’s Louisiana homeland. He has done some great things over the years in mixed martial arts, especially in the UFC.

In a recent interview, Dana White talked about Dustin Poilier’s retirement and its impact on sports.

Dana White explains Dustin Poilier’s retirement battle

“Dustin Poirier is a big star for us,” White told WDSU News. “He’s done a lot in the sport. This is for him and I’m honest with you. This is for him. He’s here because he wanted to have his final fight and end his career in New Orleans.”

“He is currently ranked fifth in the world in the lightweight category,” White said. “He’s a guy who has built his place in the top 10 for a very long time. He’s done a lot. He’s one of the greatest people ever. Thousands of people have fought in the UFC.

Poirier is an absolute superstar and he has already been beaten Holloway in the past, but another victory will further strengthen his position as one of the best positions that do this at 155 pounds.
