MMA’s Francis Nghannou Legacy ‘Forgette

In the version of “The Fighter vs. The Writer” on Mmafighting.com, Matt Brown placed emphasis on rumors that Francis Ngannou was open to UFC returns. “The Immortal” believes Ngannou has hurt her legacy at MMA after he left the UFC.

“In Legacy’s wise he’s already forgotten in terms of the heavyweight division of the MMA. In Legacy’s wise I think he’s been very damaged. If he won those boxing matches, it would have clearly helped his Legacy A (exp remark). It was a bad move at that point.”

Brown said two boxing matches “Humanized” Ngannou. Ultimately, Brown feels that Ngannou has taken away money at the expense of how he is viewed within the MMA community.

“That’s what kind of mate is the UFC now after he lost, do your thing,” Brown said. “Now everyone is asking if he’s wrong. But he was making more money in these two matches that he would have fought in the UFC over the next decade. Was that a mistake? No, his legacy will suffer.

UFC CEO Dana White was recently asked if she would do business with Ngannou again. The UFC boss kept things simple and said it was unlikely to happen.
