The Tottenham Hotspur has been linked to the moves of Palmeiras’ Richard Rios this summer.

The 25-year-old could leave the club this summer, with Premier League clubs Crystal Palace and Newcastle United also keen on him. All three clubs want to sign the player, and he could be used for a reasonable amount.

According to journalist Eduardo Burgos, Rios could cost around $20 million (£15 million). That’s a very reasonable asking price for his potential players. He has been a key player in the club and country for the past 12 months and has proven to be a solid acquisition.

Tottenham can use Richard Rios

Tottenham needs more defensive coverage, physicality and drive in the middle.

The 25-year-old Colombian might be the ideal acquisition. In addition to his defensive contributions, he helps move the team forward and create opportunities for teammates. He has the tools to develop into a complete midfielder.

His passes can be a bit unstable, but he is age on his side and was able to improve with coaching and experience.

Meanwhile, Newcastle has secured qualifying for the Champions League and needs more quality with the team. Signing a 25-year-old midfielder will help them improve. They have ambitious projects and the opportunity to play for them may be exciting for South America too.

As far as Crystal Palace is concerned, they were able to win the FA Cup last season and are scheduled to compete in Europe. They could also be an attractive destination for players.

The asking price is very reasonable and all three clubs have resources he can afford. It would be interesting to see where he ends.
