Everton is currently eager to sign the £17 million striker that the wolf offered

According to a new report, Everton is now joining Wolverhampton Wanderers in the race and signing a £17 million “dangerous” striker.

David Moet’s return to Everton lifted the club on and off the pitch, eventually moving away from the threat of relegation during the 2024/25 season. The plan to head for a new campaign and a new stadium is to once again establish themselves as the top half team, just as they did during their first tenure.

To do that, Moe is now looking to improve his defensive options, especially at right back, given the time of Shemaus Coleman and the fact that Ashley Young is leaving at the end of the month. Fabrizio Romano reported earlier this week that Everton had contacted defender Kyle Walker about his move to Merseyside. Moe approves the addition of England International, but they are not alone as European teams are also considering signing Manchester Cityman.

So Toffee keeps his options open and, according to Guardians Jamie Jackson and Will Unwin, Everton is also interested in signing Fulham defender Kenny Tete. The 29-year-old is scheduled to become a free agent later this month, and he is a player under consideration alongside West Ham’s Vladimir Kufal and Southampton’s Kyle Walkerpeter and Walker.

It’s not just his defense that Moyes is trying to strengthen. He has also been on the market for a new centre forward, and a fresh name has appeared. According to Spanish Outlet AS, Everton is interested in signing Corinthian striker Yuri Alberto.

The 24-year-old is scheduled to leave the Brazilian side this summer after becoming a prolific scorer in the Brazilian league. Toffee keeps his eye on his situation, but they face competition like Rome and Atletico Madrid, and the Spanish giants are considered to have a slight advantage over the rest of the teams.

Called “danger” by Scout Jacek Kulig, Alberto scored an incredible 2024 in 2024 as he scored 31 goals in every Corinthian competition. Surprisingly, despite his impressive scoring streak, the report says he could be used for around 20 million euros, which is about £17 million.

He is not the only Premier League team chasing Alberto as there were reports earlier this year that Nottingham Forest had contact with players over moving to the city’s ground. Recently, it has been reported that both Wolves and West Ham have made offers to sign the younger striker.

Everton is now the latest team in the mix, and the need for new strikers has become even greater given that Dominic Calver Trewin appears to be leaving.
