NEW YORK – Olympic gold medalist Zheng Qinwen withdraws from the US on Monday two days after he introduced that he had undergone arthroscopic surgical procedure on his proper elbow on account of “steady ache.”
Zheng, who was sixth within the first spherical final month was defeated at Wimbledon.
“We have now been coping with persistent ache in our proper elbow throughout coaching and video games over the previous few months,” the 22-year-old, right-handed from China, instructed social media on Saturday. “Regardless that we tried numerous remedies to handle it, the discomfort by no means fully disappeared.”
