Everett R. Dobson has been elected to chair the Jockey Membership Stewards Committee. Dobson will change Stuart S. Johnny III, who has been chairman of the Jockey Membership since August 8, 2015. Johnny will proceed to function a steward officer.
Dobson has been a member of the Jockey Membership since 2014. He served as a steward from August 2017 to August 2021 and was re-elected in 2024. Dobson is a longtime proprietor and a thoroughbred breeder. He’s the proprietor of Sweet Meadows Farm and laces underneath the Cheyenne Desk. He serves on the Govt Committee of the Affiliation of Thoroughbred House owners and Breeders and is the previous chairman of the American Phased Stakes Committee. Along with being a trustee of the Keeneland Affiliation, Dobson additionally serves as a member of the Breeders’ Cup.
Dobson, a local and resident of Oklahoma, is govt chairman of Dobson Fiber, an Oklahoma Metropolis-based telecommunications firm. He’s additionally an investor for the NBA champion Oklahoma Metropolis Thunder crew and serves on the board of administrators.
