Daniil Medvedev punishes 42.5K, open explosion, racket abuse

NEW YORK – Daniil Medvedev was fined a complete of $42,500 from the US Open on Wednesday – greater than a 3rd of his $110,000 match prize cash was fined for his meltdown for a first-round loss after the photographer wandered onto the courtroom throughout the match.

It was Medvedev’s third consecutive Grand Slam loss within the first spherical, and a second consecutive Grand Slam loss to Boni after dropping to him at Wimbledon.
