
Michael van der Mark has “good plans” at BMW after his WorldSBK profession ends, in line with the Munich model’s administration.
Van der Mark joined the BMW Manufacturing unit WorldSBK Workforce in 2021 after spending 4 seasons with Yamaha.
The Dutchman took his first WorldSBK victory on the then-new S1000 RR within the 2021 Portimao Superpole Race, and received once more in Race 2 final 12 months within the rain at Magny-Cours.

“We now have good plans for the longer term collectively and I hope we will focus on these quickly as nicely.
“Mickey is important for us. He has helped us quite a bit in the previous couple of years, each on the World Superbike aspect and on the testing aspect, so I feel we have now an excellent future as nicely.”
Van der Mark has raced for BMW outdoors of the Superbike World Championship, and this 12 months he competed within the World Endurance Championship, changing Sylvain Guintoli on the Suzuka 8 Hours.
Jonathan Rea can also be reportedly contemplating competing within the World Endurance Championship with BMW in 2026.
