George Russell defeated F1 title contender Lando Norris in ultimate apply for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The Mercedes driver was quickest in FP3 by simply 0.004 seconds over Norris, who set the tempo in each of Friday’s apply classes.
Norris, who has a 12-point lead over Crimson Bull’s Max Verstappen, will clinch his first world championship if he finishes within the prime three in Sunday’s race, no matter the place his rivals are.
The British driver suffered a near-miss with slow-moving Hiroki Tsunoda within the ultimate sector, however managed to keep away from contact with the Crimson Bull driver, who’s below investigation.
