Ducati MotoGP staff principal Davide Tardozzi says the booing he acquired from Marc Marquez on the Italian Grand Prix stays a “very painful second” for him.
Ducati gained 17 of twenty-two Grands Prix final yr, sweeping all three world titles and recording the second-best season in MotoGP historical past.
Marc Marquez gained 11 of those Grands Prix and 14 sprints, clinching his seventh MotoGP title with 5 races remaining.
Since falling out with Valentino Rossi in 2015, Marquez has constantly been poorly rated by followers within the Mugello and Misano races on the calendar.
In 2025, whereas celebrating his Mugello dash victory, Tardozzi was booed by the gang, and Tardozzi blamed them.
In a DAZN documentary about Marquez’s 2025 season, Tardozzi recalled the episode at Mugello and reiterated his frustration that the downward spiral from 2015 continues to negatively affect MotoGP.
“After I noticed the grandstand at Mugello, greater than 50% have been sporting purple shirts, so it was a really troublesome second for me,” he mentioned.
“A rider of Marc’s caliber, who gained Mugello on a Ducati, shouldn’t be booed.
“I am actually bored with the recollections of 2015.
“Sufficient is sufficient. For those who preserve insisting on that, you’re not a real bike fan.
“That scenario actually bothered me.
“Firstly, as a result of we have now to respect the winners.
“Secondly, you may’t boo Marc since you’re sporting a purple shirt as a result of we’re at Mugello.
“For that cause, it was an instinctive gesture.
“And, I’d argue, sufficient about 2015, 10 years from now?
“Sufficient, I’ve mentioned it and I’ll say it once more, the reality is, it wasn’t simply Mark’s fault.
“The blame is 50/50, Marc made a mistake, Valentino Rossi made a mistake too, and that is sufficient.”
