With victory, Puma and Potente move into the Triple Crown power rankings

Every week, members of the nationwide media vote for the nation’s main candidates within the Triple Crown race within the Nationwide Thoroughbred Racing Affiliation (NTRA) High Thoroughbred Ballot.

Week 7 of the 2026 NTRA High 3-12 months-Previous Thoroughbred Voting will embody races via March eighth. Voting continues to be led by Fasigtipton Risen Star Stakes winner Paladin. Two horses completed within the prime 10 for the primary time this week, together with Esmark Tampa Bay Derby winner The Puma in ninth place and San Felipe Stakes DK winner Potente in seventh place.

The three-year-old vote represents horses that fought all the best way to the Triple Crown and to the top. Rankings are based mostly on a 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-1 voting system. The variety of votes for 1st place is in parentheses.
