Kevin Lee is suing the GFL.
Last month, Global Fight League is scheduled to host a two-day event in California, boasting many fights from some of the biggest names in MMA. Unfortunately, things fell apart after investors cut off the startup of combat sports from the corporate nipples and turned the company into a limbo.
As a result, all fighters that the promotion “signed” were effectively released and were told they could freely pursue other opportunities.
Many of the biggest names touted to appear under the GFL banner do just that, including Kevin Lee, who made his professional Fighters League debut against Kazilla Rabadanov on June 20th. However, “Motown Phenom” does not intend to remove GFL from the hook.
Kevin Lee accused the GFL of using fighter jets
While appearing on SiriusXM radio MMA todayLee revealed that he is suing GFL for his honor and fear tor.
“They seem to be a promotion for new startups, it’s the next big thing and I’ve gotten quite strong behind them,” Lee said. “The lecture was great, but there was no action behind it. We are now going through legal process so I can’t speak much about the situation.
“They went out there using me and our names and became the main face of the MMA promotional business.
Hopefully Kevin Lee would be better off suing the MMA company than Mark Hunt did.
