Alex Caruso recalls what La Lakers legendary magic Johnson is talking about him.

No team tested the Oklahoma City Thunder, as the Denver Nuggets did in the 2025 NBA Playoffs.

However, the Thunder plagued the threat with a memorable 4-3 victory in the Western Conference semi-finals.

5x NBA champion and Lakers legend Magic Johnson is one who has always maintained the NBA tab despite retiring from the league decades ago.

Lakers icon Johnson clearly has more interest in current and former players associated with the team.

That was proven when Johnson went out of his way to congratulate Johnson on creating the NBA Finals.

“Congratulations, former Laker and NBA champion Alex Caruso are currently playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder and heading for the NBA Finals!” Johnson wrote to X.

A former member of the Lakers, you may wonder how Caruso felt when he saw the Magic tweet, helping the team win the 2020 NBA Championship.

Well, the 31-year-old recently appeared on the “Pardon My Take” podcast and discussed many things, including Johnson’s viral tweet.

“I just started laughing. I’ve seen his tweets. It’s like a news tweet from an AP memo release. “Congratulations…”

He added: “It was amazing. Great expression and recognition from magic.”

He was asked if he had received a personal message and he replied: “Just tweet.”

Despite not receiving a personal message from Johnson, what is mentioned in another tweet is not a small deal as magic is undoubtedly considered the biggest point guard of all time.
