Christian Folk gave insight into Florian Wiltz’s decision to snub Bayern Munich for Liverpool this summer.
Written in CF Bayern Insider’s latest column, Falk detailed his role on Arne Slot’s part, not about money.
Wirtz would have been playing against Bayern’s Jamal Musiala. Perhaps it’s not clear how he fitted into the tactical setup of Vincent Kompany.
Liverpool did well to probably give Germany International a clearer picture of how their team would be built around him.
This fork update will delight Liverpool fans. Despite Bayern providing Wirtz with huge amounts of money, Reds can do this.
Christian Folk on Florian Wiltz’s transfer decision
Provided with the latest information on Wirtz’s decision, Fork wrote: “I think this is really, really difficult for Bayern Munich. It’s a shame to hear that it’s not even a money issue. Wirtz is said to make 22 million euros a year in Liverpool.
“Not only does it lead to Vincent Company’s vision for players, but also to Max Ebal’s involvement (or shortage). The preparation for the contract was built from the ground up by older bosses like Uri Hone, who arranged meetings with the players. Arne Slot must have presented a clearer vision.
“We must not forget that Bayern Munich already has a key player in Jamal Muscia’s central position. Liverpool doesn’t have this welcome headache. Still, you’d have supported Bayern to have a clear plan for where it would fit in Munich.
“If they settled on a plan with Muciara, I think Bayern could have found a solution that would suit all parties. In the end, the pair will work well together with the national team.
“I think this was the main point that the lecture was guaranteed. No plans were expected. I think they were thinking about how to use Florian Wharts in various game states, but there was no clear plan like Arne Slot in terms of using 22 years old in the central region. Opposed.”
Liverpool will make a statement after title victory
Liverpool is clearly not confused after winning the Premier League title in 2024/25.
It’s clear that the Merseyside giant is determined to continue to get even stronger, and Wirtz is considering staying with a few other big names.
Jeremie Frimpong has already been officially announced, with all the signs pointing to Milos Kerkez:
Plus, Liverpool did well to secure a new deal for star duo Mohamed Sarah and Virgil van Dik, even if they lost Trent Alexander Arnold to Real Madrid.
