Chelsea has been very impressed through the 2024/25 campaign, and Enzo Maresca has had a major impact during his first season as the club’s manager.
The Italian took the reins last summer after Mauricio Pockettino left and took the top five finish in the Premier League.
His team also claimed the trophy of the Europa Congress League after winning a 4-1 4-1 victory over Real Betis in the Finals, closing out what was a season to remember in West London.
The open transfer window allows the 45-year-old to make important additions in different areas of the team and take a step closer to returning to the title battle.
He has already landed the signature of striker Liam Dellup, but many other players have already been on the list of contenders, with potential moves appearing after the windows opened on Sunday.
The latest on Chelsea hunting for new attackers
Despite Delap’s contract, Maresca prioritized strengths on the Chelsea forward line this summer, requiring more firepower for future success in the near future.
Things like Samu Omorodion, Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko are all touted in the switch to the blues this summer, but there has been no agreement on the aforementioned talents yet.
However, a Spanish report shows that West Ham United star Mohamed Kudus has emerged as an important option, which has led to another name being mentioned over the past few days.
They claim that Bruce is preparing a £59 million offer for the 24-year-old Ghanaian winger.
The hierarchy also states he is determined to win his signature race this summer, and City rival Arsenal is also solid in races of offseason service.
Chelsea’s £509 million target is at shade risk
Belgian Winger Eden Hazard arrived in Chelsea as an unknown amount to many in the summer of 2012, but it’s safe to say he soon announced himself to his fanbase.
The attackers cost the club about £32 million from the French costume reel. This is a price that has proven to be a bargain considering his time as a West London player.
The now-retired 34-year-old has recorded over 350 and 110. Today, Hazard is in conversation as one of the best wingers in Premier League history with his masculine running and incredible dribbling abilities.
Many players, including Jadon Sancho, Mykhailo Mudryk and Pedro Neto, have tried to fill the gap left by attackers in recent years, but have failed miserably.
Maresca was able to find his own version of the Belgian this summer, and Kudus has a similar skill set, offering the extra threats he needs to the side.
He registered 13 take-ons against the Blues in 2023/24. This is most of the players in the department of that campaign, highlighting their ability with the ball with their feet. That 13 tally was also the major risk achieved on two occasions during his stay at Stamford Bridge.
Also labelled “Generation” by journalist Gary Smith, Kudus has registered 3.4 progressive carry and 3.2 successful take-ons for the campaign.

The Ghanaian also registered 2.6 shots per 90, with amputations from the right hand to the left foot from the left foot in the left foot.
£509 million may seem like another big investment from the hierarchy this summer, but given the statistics generated by Hammers Star, the winger, who has the tools to take his game to the next level as a result, isn’t too easy.
If he could go anywhere near the level generated by the bridge hazard, it would be an absolute bargain and could repeat the blues again towards the glory of the title in the near future.
