Marco Betzecki acknowledges that the uncertainty surrounding the future of injured teammate Jorge Martin has created a challenging atmosphere within the factory’s Aprilia Motogup team.
Martin confirmed his plan to break out of his Aprilia deal in 2026 and use contract clauses to find a new home.
The MotoGP champion has yet to complete Aprilia’s Grand Prix due to a series of injuries.
“I have to be honest with you. Of course, it’s a difficult situation for the whole team,” Betzekki said. TNT Sports In Aragon.
“This doesn’t really affect me. I hope I was in the same mood. But I have no comments about myself. That’s not my business.”
Marco Betzecchi “wanted to give Aprilia some strength”

Despite uncertainty about Jorge Martin’s future, Betzecki turned adversity into a victory by passing the first victory of the year and the podium at Silverstone.
“It’s important to me. I don’t want to be rude – it’s important to everyone – but for me it was incredible because I used to exercise this feeling for so long,” Betzekki said.
“Even if it was tough for me, I really gave it everything. I didn’t want to show you a set-off. I wanted to empower the people who work for us. This was the turning point for the outcome at Silverstone.”
But there’s more work ahead.
“We know we’re going to face other tough times. We’re in the process, we’re building performance,” he explained. “We work to see ourselves and use this momentum to reach our target as quickly as possible, rather than Silverstone.”
Betzecchi’s Aragon podium ended with a nightmare of 20th place in qualifying, saving eighth place in both races.
He was then second fastest in the official Monday Test.
Martin’s return date remains unknown, but I hope to take part in the test before MotoGP summer vacation.
