Chelsea can sign a greater talent than Ekitique, with a £65 million “Maverick”

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca chases the club’s World Cup glory, but he certainly hasn’t taken his eyes off the ball regarding potential signatures.

Defender Thomas Araujo has linked his move to Stamford Bridge. Elsewhere, Jamie Gittense is the main offensive target, and Bruce is keen to close the deal for him sooner than later.

Adding the fact that Maresca has already signed Liam Dellup suggests that the manager is plotting this summer’s overhaul.

Hugo Ekitiké is another important target, and now could be a time to act, as Manchester United intrigues the younger striker.

Despite being one of the Blues’ top transfer targets, it appears that the Red Devils are trying to secure his signature this summer.

With the reported price tag of 100 million euros (£85 million), it is a critical spending for the Blues looking to bolster their attack options.

Last season, the Frenchman scored 22 goals and 12 assists, emerging as one of the continent’s most popular talents.

The striker will compete with Delap and Nicolas Jackson for a role in the team if he moves to London, but for the price, Maresca decides to use him as his main option.

That being said, can he probably move for another young man this summer? In particular, he was previously set to leave his current club as a player who was on the club’s radar.

Why should Chelsea rekindle John Duran’s moves?

The Columbia striker was close to travelling to Stamford Bridge last summer, but ultimately decided to stay at the villa.

However, Unai Emery was unable to turn down an offer of around £65 million for the talented hitman and moved to the Middle East in January.

According to a report from Saudi Arabia (by the Metro), Duran could leave Al Nasr in the summer and, among other suitors, has the chance to rekindle the player’s moves. It is said that an unnamed club is interested in signing a loan to him if an exit appears.

Ekitike was shining in the Bundesliga for Frankfurt in the previous period, but is there any case where Duran is a bigger talent?

Comparing the two strikers via FBREF, Duran not only registered shots per 90 (4.26 vs. 4) than Ekitiké’s previous period, but also recorded more shots per 90 (1.92 vs. 1.55) and scored more shots per 90 (1.92 vs. 1.55) and earned the aircraft duere (50% vs. 46.8%).

Given the fact that he is younger and has a potentially high ceiling for growth, Duran had already scored 12 goals in 55 Premier League matches – it could possibly turn out to be the club’s better striker.

He may be “Maverick,” in the words of analyst Ben Matinson, but unlike Ekichike, he has already proven himself on top British flights.
