Former UFC champion Rose Namajunas has seen who he can face next after his victory over Miranda Maverick at UFC Atlanta.

In the co-main event of last night’s event, Rosenama Junas returned to victory. She had to overcome some real adversity to make it happen. Miranda Maverick was approaching submission in the second round, but “The Thug Rose” recovered and advanced to gain an impressive decision victory.

As we look forward to the future, it is interesting to think about what we can do for Rose Namajunas. She is still an impressive fighter, and while she could potentially make things happen at the top edge of the flyweight division, there are many candidates beginning to emerge.

At a postwar press conference, Rose Namajunas openly spoke about the next step for others around her in the rankings.

Rose Namajunas discusses her future after UFC Atlanta

“Before this fight I was looking at Vivienne (Araujo), and she is in line with Tracy (Cortez).

“I just fought Erin, so that wouldn’t make sense… they probably wouldn’t want to do that,” Namajunas added. “There’s Natalia (Silva) and Alexa Grasso.

“Anyone in any of those girls, the top five or whatever.

“If something crazy happens and I deserve a title shot, I want it too. But I need anything that needs to get it.”

“I think Alexa Grasso is probably a bit good for me as a stylist. Natalia, her speed is very tricky and I think she’s been keeping it for a very long time.

“I think she (Silva) is going to be a more difficult fight,” Namajunas added. “(But) Alexa has experience in terms of title fights and all that kind of perspective.”
