A shocking controversy broke out in the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League 2025 (TNPL 2025), involving former Indian all-round Ravichandran Ashwin. After a fierce match against the Dindiguru Dragons on June 14, the Madurai Panthers officially denounced Ravichandran Ashwin and his tampering with the ball, shocking TNPL 2025 fans.

In a complaint with the TNPL, Madurai Panthers’ D-Pooja claimed that despite repeated warnings, the Dindigul player continued to use towels that appear to change the state of the ball by treating it with chemicals during the TNPL 2025 crash.

D Pooja wrote in his letter to TNPL: “A serious case of ball tampering occurred during a recent match against the Dindigul Dragons. Despite repeated warnings, the Dindigul team blatantly tampered with a towel that appears to have been treated with chemicals.”

Meanwhile, TNPL CEO Prasanna Kannan has taken swift action on ball tampering claims, and he is now demanding solid evidence from the Madurai franchise to support their allegations.

He said that if there is a truth, an independent committee would be formed, but Madurai could face action for false claims if they did not provide evidence to prove their claims against Dindiguru.

Prasanna Kannan said on the Indian Express that “they filed a complaint, but we agreed. They must file a complaint within 24 hours of the game, but we still asked them to accept it and provide evidence of their claim.

If they find out that their allegations are true, we form an independent committee. Without sufficient evidence, it is wrong to present such claims against a player and another franchise. If they do not provide evidence, Madurai faces legitimate sanctions. ”
