Fabio Quartaralo, eager to reset Mugero Motogup after Yamaha’s set-off: “We’ll give it all.”

Fabio Cartalaro heads for the MotoGP round at Muguero this weekend, aiming to halt three consecutive GP non-finish runs, dropping the Frenchman 10th in the championship standings.

After smashing the Yamaha podium drought in a hard-earned second place at Jerez, Quartaralo crashed in the Wet Le Mans race, then a heartbreaking retirement from a lead at Silverstone due to a ride breakdown.

Performance became the main issue of last time with a low grip Aragon, which ended with a fall from 10th place on Quartarraro’s weekend.

The former world champion has better memories of Muguero, the 2021 victory scene – the final non-Ducati victory on the track – plus the 2022 podium.

“In the Aragon test, it seemed like some of the items we tried could be positive here in Muguero, so we’re looking forward to seeing if that’s true,” Quartararo explained.

“I really like this circuit and the grip here is usually better than Aragon, so let’s see what we can do. As always, we’ll give it everything.”

Teammate Alex Rins has arrived in Italy, chasing the top 10 for the first Sunday of the season, finishing just 17th in the World Championships.

“We tried a lot in the Aragon test and finished it with a good feeling,” Lyns said.

“But like I said, we’re still planning on starting this race weekend with a regular base setup. I believe we’ve found a good foundation, but we’ll need to make some tweaks to avoid the issue of the last race.

“We want to do well because the Italian Grand Prix is like our team’s home race.”

Team Director Massimo Meregalli is interested in seeing how the latest M1 parts, which have been subsequently tested by the Pramac team in Barcelona and factory test riders, play around the Muguero’s high-speed layout.

“The additional data collected by our teams in the Aragon test could be useful this weekend,” Meregalli said. “It would be interesting to check out the findings on very different tracks on actual race weekends.”

Opening practice will be held on Friday.
