Atlanta Hawks veteran Larry Nance JR is excited by the team’s highly coveted young star.

A year ago, the Atlanta Hawks were the lucky winner of the 2024 NBA Draft Lottery, and used it to select Zaccharie Risacher on the number one draft pick.

Risacher is seen as a developmental project rather than an instant difference maker, and these expectations have made him easier to adapt to the NBA.

The young Frenchman was accepted by his teammates and produced a 38-point performance later in the season, showing what he can do.

With the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery coming soon, the Atlanta Hawks look back on Zaccharie Risacher’s promising newcomer year.

Lisacher was nominated for Rookie of the Year, and eventually won the award for the San Antonio Spurs outlook Stefon Castle.

The Hawks remain enthusiastic about what they saw from Lisach, posting clips of the highlights of the video from his season.

There can be more to come to the Hawks’ message.

Atlanta Hawks veteran Larry Nance JR responded to the video and added his own thoughts on Lisach’s talent and impressive maturity. He believes his previous No. 1 pick has a longer career than he has.

Nance Jr. wrote:

Zaccharie Risacher played 75 of 82 games for the Atlanta Hawks, averaging 24.6 minutes per game.

Risacher averaged 12.6 points per game, and his score really improved as the season progressed.

Before the All-Star break, Resoccer averaged 11.4 points per game, which later increased to 14.6 ppg. His rebounds rose from 3.3 to 4.0 per game.

In early April, Risacher became the third teenager to tally at least 800 points, 200 rebounds, 100 3-pointers, 50 steel and 30 blocks. Jason Tatum and Anthony Edwards were the only two others, and they put him in a respected company.

The Hawks begin planning more Lisacher from 2025-26, looking for him to improve as he continues his adjustments to the NBA.
