Audiences were raining for Monday’s practice round at the PGA Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Quail Hollow Club site has been closed to fans due to anticipated weather. Anyone with a Monday ticket can use it on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Players were allowed to practice the second major of the season, with the lightning bolt reported in the region.

Rain is forecast at the beginning of the week, but is expected to clear by Thursday’s opening round.

A similar Monday washout was held at the Masters last month. At the Masters, fans came home early due to weather conditions.
