Charles Oliveira vows to win the title in the UFC 317 comeback fight: “It should never have left.”

Former indisputable lightweight champion Charles Oliveira is confident he will burn ahead of his return at UFC 317 next month, claiming that the divisional crown will return to his waist.

Oliveira, currently the second-place candidate, has been on the sidelines since November last year, earning his second career with former title challenger Michael Chandler.

It came as his second victory over former Bellator MMA Kingpin, following a previous knockout victory in which the veteran was knocked out to scooped the empty lightweight crown in the main event collision in 2021.

And next month, the Brazilian will receive his third vacant title request for the promotion. He welcomes former featherweight kingpin Ilia Topria to return to weight class in the main event crash at UFC 317 during International Combat Week.

Charles Oliveira vows to regain the Crown at UFC 317

Oliveira has his wish, claiming that he will not return to action unless he is booked for the next title after the title crash. I vowed to regain the lightweight crown. This is the throne he believes should never be lost.

“It’s 46 days to go back to where this belt will never leave,” Charles Oliveira posted on social media.

However, in response to comments from former featherweight title holder Sao Paulostar, Topuria has his own ideas about how the pairing unfolds. As far as he is concerned, there is probably a finish in his favor. However, he wants to inflict the Brazilian as little pain and damage as possible.

“I am truly sorry for Charles Oliveira,” Ilia Topria told Eurosport. “Whatever hurts most for him, that’s what I do, because I love him so much.”
