West Ham United defender Knife Aguerdo has expressed his desire to leave the club forever at the end of the season.
The Moroccan defender was on loan at Real Sociedad, and he was very impressive for the Spanish club. He wants to leave West Ham in the summer, and it is still unclear whether Hammer has decided to win cash for him.
It makes no sense to hold players who don’t want to play for a club. Hammer doesn’t see him as an essential asset. It is still unclear whether a suitable destination for the player will be able to find.
Nayef Aguerd wants out
Apparently, West Ham manager Graham Potter was keen to work with players next season, but now his exit is on the card.
“West Ham is in talks with Nayef Aguerd and his agents, and players are advised that the club should be sold this summer,” Exwhumplopyeee said on the West Ham Way podcast on Monday.
“Graham Potter was planning on working with him when he returned, and seeing him acted, he was probably aiming to return to the crease. But that’s not likely now, as the club set up another player towards the exit of the upcoming transfer window.”
West Ham needs a defender
West Ham has been extremely vulnerable defensively this season and needs to be improved in the back. They should consider investing in quality central defenders during the summer transfer period. It’s a disappointing season for them and they’ll look like they’ll bounce back hard. A quality signature will help turn things around again next year.
Meanwhile, Aguerd will try to sort out his long-term future and focus on his football again. It’s not yet known where he will end.
