Leicester City will return to the championship next season and will once again become a promotional favourite, but not guaranteed. Having the right managers will go a long way in supporting their cause. At this stage, current head coach Rude van Nistelroy is unlikely to take the helm.

Van Nistellouis brought in mid-season to keep Leicester away from relegation, but he couldn’t. He is allowed to watch the rest of the campaign, but the hope is that he will replace it in the summer.

Given this, there are many candidates associated with the role, one being Sean Dish. The 53-year-old has abolished management since being fired by Everton earlier this season, but despite this, he is unlikely to join Leicester.

According to Leicester’s Fox, Sean Dish revealed on the Sky Sports football podcast that he has no plans to return to management at this time.

“Not at the moment. The timing is wrong anyway. It’s not my timing, but the club has time this time to see all sorts of things, what they’re doing. I quickly offered some things. Then I wait, and you’ll never say.”

It’s not surprising that Dish has been attracting attention from many clubs since leaving Everton, but for now he appears to be enjoying himself a little further away from his days in football management. So, at the end of the 2024-25 Premier League season, if Leicester says goodbye to Vannistel Louis, Leicester will need to see elsewhere.
