Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne landed in the UK more than 20 days ago and began preparing for the ICC World Test Championship (WTC Final) against South Africa.
Labuschagne was included with the Glamorgan team for the first two matches of the County Championship before the WTC Final Test match. His return to the county did not go well as he left for the duck.

Marnus Labuschagne 7-Ball Duck
Lovescanyu survived only nine minutes on the pitch when he returned to the Glamorgan team. He won the 10th century for Glamorgan, but Northampton Shire Pacer Harry Conway bowled outswingers and Loves Canye got caught up in his third slip.
After taking his wicket, Conway’s unique celebrations boosted the crowd, and Glamorgan finished the day 82-3.

Marnus Labuschagne will play a key role for Australians in the WTC Final against Proteas. He’ll hit no. Looking at Protea’s pace attacks in four positions and English terms, it would be difficult for the batter to play.
He also gets the field on key parts of the ground and can be useful for the team with slips as well. The WTC 2025 Finals will be held in the main finals from June 11th.
Marnus Labuschagne replaces Colin Ingram
Labuschagne will replace Colin Ingram, a South African batsman who has been in great shape in the tournament. Ingram scored 451 in five Test matches with 56.37 in four half-century and one-century.
“It’s good that he’s involved. He knows the players, he brings energy and quality, so it’s great to have him back on the team,” Glamorgan coach Richard Dawson told Loveschine.
Glamorgan was sixth in the points table and won the first match of the season against Kent last week at Canterbury.
Australian players in Cricket County
A teammate of Beau Webster’s Labuschagne, the WTC 2025 Final, joined Warwickshire in preparation ahead of the Big Final. Webster scored two wickets on 42 runs in 11 overs against Hampshire by Edbaston.
Nathan McAndrew, who is not on the Australian team, played the first game of the Sussex season. He took one wicket against Somerset.
In the Sussex- Somerset match, Michael Vaughn’s son Archie Vaughn scored 70 runs with 11 balls.
Peter Handscomb was captain of Leicestershire, and his team bowled Middlesex for just 232 runs.
Another Australian batsman, Kurtis Patterson, enjoys his time in the UK while playing for Yorkshire and Surrey.
